PORTSMOUTH  — Symmes Valley High School’s third baseman Nikki Nance has decided to play softball for Shawnee State University.

Nance is a three-year letterman in softball and over her three-year career has guided the Vikings to a 65-18 varsity record. She earned SOC honors three times and was named 1st Team All-SOC and 1st Team all-district as a junior and senior. As a senior Nance was named SOC and District Player of the Year and was named 1st Team All-Ohio. As a senior she accumulated a .423 batting average with 44 hits, 42 runs scored and 34 stolen bases.

Nance is studying elementary education.
