Free athletic physicals will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Dr. William Basedow’s office for any student planning to play any sport at St. Joseph High School or Junior High during the 2010-2011 school year.

Any St. Joseph High School student planning to play soccer should meet at 8 a.m. Monday, at Clouston Field to begin conditioning.

CG volleyball camp set for July 17

COAL GROVE — Coal Grove volleyball camp will be July 17.

The Kentucky Christian College Volleyball Program will be conducting drills. Cost is $50.

Rio plans girls’

basketball camp

Rio Grande — The University of Rio Grande is now accepting applications for the 2010 summer women’s basketball camp.

The instructional camp is set for July 11-14 for girls in grades 4 through 12. The cost of the overnight camp is $250 per camper.

RH girls basketball

plans golf tourney

The Rock Hill High School girls’ basketball team will conduct a golf scramble tournament Saturday, July 10, at the Oaks Country Club with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Entry fee is $50 and includes lunch. Prizes will be given for first and second place plus various door prizes. Proceeds benefit the girls’ basketball team.

Fairland youth

football camp set

The Fairland football and speed development camp will be held for area youths in grades 2-8 from 5:30-to-7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, July 21-23, at Jim Mayo Stadium.

Fee is $25 for one player, $40 for two, and $10 for each additional sibling.

Rio Grande camp

set for volleyball

RIO GRANDE — The University of Rio Grande RedStorm girls’ volleyball camps have been announced.

The camp for girls entering grades 6-8 will be held June 27-29 at the Newt Oliver Arena. The camp for girls entering grades 10-12 will be July 6-8.

Camp fee is $200.

Players will be coached and mentored by one of Ohio’s finest field of instructors. Among the staff will be a former All-American, a former All-Ohio player, conference players of the year as well as NAIA national leaders in their area of expertise.

Soccer group set

to hold fall signups

IRONTON — Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association (IAYSA) will hold its 2010 fall soccer signups for age groups between Aug. 1, 1996 through July 31, 2006.

Ages 4 through 14, under 6 to under 14, boys and girls Saturday, July 10 and 17, between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Bob Linn’s Sporting Goods.

Registration fee is $20 with additional family members $15. Late fees are $5 per player after July 24.
