Salvation rules must be followed

As thinking about a Sunday Sermon the thought crossed my mind why is any day important to us?

Then the passage of scripture in Hebrews 3: 7 and 8 which say “Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost sayeth today if ye hear his voice harden not your hearts as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness.” Then I thought how can they hear the word of God when they never attend church, cut grass on Sunday, forget about “prayer meeting” on Wednesday, yet they still think that they will go to Heaven to be with God. Sad to say they are sadly mistaken”, You must first “hear the word of God”, “be convicted of your sins” , “repent of your sins” ,”and ask Jesus Christ to save you”.

This will not be done when you haven’t heard the word. In Romans 10: 14 & 15 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? How shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? How shall they hear without a preacher? How shall they preach, except they be sent?

As it is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things.

So many times we read in the paper “went to be with the Lord” how I wish that they could stay with the Lord. However the scriptures say in John 3: 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, “except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”.

The only way to have this happen is by the “Spirit of God”, which comes only after you have heard the preacher preach the word of God.

There isn’t a better time to be saved than now, tomorrow you may die, and surely some of you that read the paper today will not be with us tomorrow.

I’m not sure that I’ll be here when this is printed in the paper, however I know where I will spend eternity. Do you? If not you can surely make it right by going to church and hearing the Gospel of your salvation for yourself.

I wish I could save all people, however that lies between you and God. He is willing and gave the invitation to all in Revelation 22: 17 And the Spirit and the bride say come, let him that heareth say come, and whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. This is five verses from the end of the Bible, if you disobey then you pay the price. As Jesus Christ died for your sins and paid them in full, if you receive him.
