King’s Daughters Health Foundation announces scholarship winners

ASHLAND, Ky. — Eight area high school seniors have been named recipients of King’s Daughters Health Foundation scholarships.

The selection criteria for the scholarships included academic performance, letters of recommendation, and in some cases, enrolling in specified career fields.

The KDMC Health Foundation awarded these scholarships to the following students:

Ashland Community & Technical College Scholarship (two years of tuition, books and lab fees at Ashland Community & Technical College); Amanda Roe, East Carter High School; Katie Wurts, Rose Hill Christian School

Boyd County Medical Society Scholarship ($1,500); Haley Cyrus, Boyd County High School; Rachel Ison, Russell High School; Samantha Jenkins, Paul Blazer High School; Amber Price, Fairview High School

Edna Monk Memorial Nursing Scholarship ($1,000); Cammie Jenkins, Dawson-Bryant High School

King’s Daughters Health Foundation Health Career Scholarship ($2,500); Bradley Tussey, Fairview High School
