IRONTON — Edna Alberta Dean, 82, of Ironton, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at her residence. The Huntington, W.Va., native was born April 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Wolfe and Dulsa Spurlock Wolfe. She is survived by her husband, Carl Emerson Dean, whom she married June 20, 1948.
Mrs. Dean attended Huntington High School and was a former sales clerk for Glad Tidings. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Ironton.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter and two grandsons, four brothers, James Wolfe; John Wolfe, Charles Wolfe, and William Wolfe four sisters, Icy Wolfe, Mary Shannon Wolfe, Elizabeth Smith Wolfe, and Clara Taylor Wolfe.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, William Dean, Robert Dean, and Richard Dean, all of Columbus; two daughters, Theresa Dean of Ironton and Damita Brammer of Johnstown, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, with Pastor Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
