SOUTH POINT — The Huntington Police Department has arrested four people allegedly responsible for several vehicle break-ins in South Point.

Paul A. Prichard, 23, of 1427 Township Road 250, South Point, Jessica Wormington, 20, of 1427 Township Road 250, South Point, Sarah McDonald, 21, of Chesapeake, and William Trent Spaulding, 24, of Chesapeake, were arrested Sept. 1 for armed robbery in Huntington.

Huntington detectives contacted detectives at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and it was discovered that the same individuals were responsible for the numerous car break-ins in Lawrence County. The sheriff’s office had responded to the break-ins, which occurred in the South Point area of County Road 18 and State Route 243, between Aug. 30 and Sept.1. Numerous items were stolen including purses, money, identification, debit/credit cards, checks, electronics, tools, radios and bulletproof vests.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office personnel executed a search warrant at 1427 Township Road 250, South Point, and at a second residence in the Burlington area. Officials recovered several items and personal effects from the thefts that occurred in the vehicle break-ins and property stolen in Huntington.

Charges will be filed in Lawrence County for Prichard, Wormington, Spaulding and McDonald.

The suspects are being housed at the Western Regional Jail in Huntington.
