Dispatcher enters plea of not guilty in drug case

An Ironton Police dispatcher and her husband who were arrested for trafficking drugs have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Tina E. White and Gregory E. White, of 244 Delaware St, Ironton, were arraigned Thursday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court, Bailiff John Smith said.

Tina White was charged with one count of third-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs and three counts of third-degree complicity to aggravated trafficking.

Gregory White has been charged with three counts of third-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs and one count of complicity to aggravated trafficking, also a third-degree felony.

The dispatcher was arrested when she arrived at work Wednesday evening. Her husband was arrested at the couple’s residence.

Tina White, a 22-year employee of the City of Ironton, has been place on unpaid leave.

Bond has been set at $100,000 for each of them. Tina White posted bond and was released from the Lawrence County Jail. Gregory White remains in jail.

A pretrial hearing has been set for Sept. 22 in Common Pleas Court.
