WHEELERSBURG — The St. Joseph Flyers played well. The Wheelersburg Pirates played better.
The Flyers gave a good effort but fell 4-0 to Wheelersburg Thursday in a soccer game.
“The Pirates played an excellent game on both sides of the pitch,” said Flyers’ coach Dan Blair. “They got on us fast and scored all four goals early in the first half. We played better in the second half.”
Dillan Lewis and Braxton Jarvis scored two goals each for Wheelersburg with all the goals being scored off assist passes.
The Flyers played at Lucasville Valley Saturday and visit Northwest on Monday.
