Marie Wilson, 76, of Ironton, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Boyd County, Ky., native was born Nov. 21, 1933, the daughter of the late James Robert and Minnie Jane Harrington Mulkey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest William Wilson, who died May 12, 1992.

Mrs. Wilson attended Boyd County Schools, was a homemaker and attended the City Mission Church in Ironton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, James “Jim” Wilson; a great grandson, Joshua Duncan; and two sisters, Eliza Marie Blankenship and Joann Hensley

She is survived by a son, Ernest “Frank” Wilson of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Allen Miller of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Myrtle and Tim Stapleton of Ironton; son, Thomas “Tommy” Wilson of Ironton; son, Darryl Wilson of Ironton; son, David Wilson of Gallia County; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Randy Clark of Ironton; three sisters, Betty Wilson of South Point, Ruth Mae White of Niles and Eileen Little of West Virginia; two brothers, James “Newt” Mulkey of Ironton and Dennis Mulkey of Niles; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
