Karen Lynn Mains Harrison

Karen Lynn Mains Harrison, 56, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Sept. 5, 1954, the daughter of Mary Sue Curnutte Mains of Ironton who survives and the late Daniel R. Mains. She is survived by her husband, William David Harrison, whom she married Aug. 16, 1971.
Mrs. Mains was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was a LPN for King’s Daughters Medical Center for 23 years and of the Catholic/Christian faith.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Mains Blalock.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Amy Jo and Don Battise of Ironton; beloved grandson, Derek Battise of Ironton; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Lou and Pam Mains, Tim and Rae Ann Mains, and Danny Mains, all of Ironton, John Mains of Chesapeake and Larry Mains of Ashland, Ky.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Nathan Lewis of South Point and Kathryne and David Lenox of Orlando, Fla.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Chaffins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
