LAWRENCE COUNTY — A bridge replacement project on Township Road 1186 in Lawrence County will get under way this month as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation begin operations in the coming week.

According to ODOT District 9 Deputy Director James Brushart, crews from RC Construction Company will be replacing the Winfield Drive bridge located over Solida Creek and approximately one-third mile south of U.S. Route 52.

Site preparations and construction are scheduled to begin Tuesday and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.

RC Construction was awarded a contract in the amount of $712,488 million to replace the structure, and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by Oct.
