SOUTH POINT — Irma G. Early, 83, of South Point, went to be with her Lord on Oct. 10, 2010. She was born Feb. 5, 1927, to the late Charles and Maude J. Ransbottom Snell. She is survived by her husband Ralph E. Early; children, Steven (Linda) Early of Sunbury, Janie (Ronnie) Duty of South Point, Danny (Pam) Early of Proctorville and Vickie (Jerry) McKnight of Proctorville; 12 grandchildren, Kim Yates, Christi Kitchen, Cari Johnson, Jeremy McKnight, Alisha Duty, Jennifer Simpkins, Mark Early, Lisa Cleland, Joshua Early, Danae Early, Julie Rutt and Lori Dykes; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and raised on Snell Family Farm on Little Buffalo Creek, Chesapeake. She was a registered nurse and worked as a public health nurse with the Lawrence County Health Department and as a nurse and administrator for Lawrence General Hospital Home Health Agency, Ironton.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday by Brother Tom Ross at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
