Daniels brings key experience

Experience isn’t everything but it is crucial during times of crisis and adversity. It’s easy to argue that the State of Ohio is facing both.
Thus it will be important that we have experienced leaders in Columbus to help the state overcome projected deficits that may top $8 billion and upcoming years that could include a variety of state cuts.
David Daniels is that choice for the Ohio Senate’s 17th District, which includes the eastern portion of Lawrence County.
Daniels, a Republican farmer from Greenfield, has served eight years in the House of Representatives.
Daniels understands what it takes to get things accomplished in Columbus but, surprisingly, what really made him stand out was his knowledge and understanding of Lawrence County and the challenges that come from living in a Tri-State community.
Daniels has some solid ideas about job creation and the need for regulatory reform to make Ohio competitive with its neighbors like Kentucky and West Virginia.
His rural background as a farmer and an officeholder in local government also can benefit our region.
Daniels’ opponent, Justin Fallon, has much in common with him and has a lot to offer the state and the region, drawing upon his time as a county commissioner to build a solid foundation of fiscal responsibility.
But, at this time, his inexperience would simply put him behind the curve. He has a bright future ahead of him and all of Southern Ohio will likely be proud of him down the road.
Daniels is simply the best choice to have an experienced legislator represent us in Columbus to ensure that Southern Ohio is not forgotten.
