It’s time to run like the wind.

With cooler temperatures and wind in the forecast, local runners will battle the elements as well as the field as they compete in the state cross country meet Saturday at Scioto Downs.

Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ Taylor Hacker is making her second trip to the state meet, the first runner in school history to accomplish the feat. The senior standout runs at 1:20 p.m.
