“We are excited for the Dickens of a Christmas theme this year. Dickens inspires the joy of the season and the joy of giving according to festival chairperson Rhonda Ballengee. “Come admire, vote or take home an award winning tree to display in your home for the holidays. Don’t forget to show your school spirit and cast your vote for your favorite school tree.”

The excitement buzzing around the festival this year is contagious with a train that now expands over 1100 square feet. “You gotta see that train!” festival volunteer Christy Reaves said.

“This year we were able to expand the track with the donation of the Rail City Hardware train layout. The festival’s train volunteers have put in close to 5,000 hours already this year to create thirteen new structures and two new levels.

“This will be our sixth year with the train at the festival and to our knowledge there is not another modular layout in the country that is this large.”

Interactive Train Day is today and will feature eight trains on stage for children of all ages to enjoy.

See the Geo Trax, Thomas the Tank, two O-gauge trains and three G-scale trains. Regular Admission and hours.

Entertainers will be on stage throughout the festival and include talent from throughout the Tri-state.

Come experience an exciting way to start off the holiday season at the Paramount Arts Center’s Festival of Trees and Trains.

The Festival of Trees and Trains is a fundraising event by the Paramount Woman’s Association to support the Paramount Arts Center.
