SPRINGFIELD – Eileen R. Walden, 84, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. Eileen was born on Sept. 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Hughes) Wise.

Eileen is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Robert Walden; son, Jerry Walden; four brothers, Raymond, Fred, Dean and Harlan Wise; daughter-in-law, Jamie Walden; and sons-in-law, David Rice and James Thompson. She is survived by sons, Charles Walden Sr., Floyd (Kim) Walden and Lawrence (Judy) Walden; daughters, Pamela Walden, Roberta Rice, Freda Moore and Mary “Peg” Thompson; sisters, Judy Newhouser, Mary Bundy and Becky Buckley; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Eileen will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched. She was a member of the Greater Life Apostolic Church. Visitation will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home-Springfield.

A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Greater Life Apostolic Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.jacksonlytle.com.
