SOUTH POINT — Duane Allen Walker, 52, of South Point, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The West Virginia native was born Jan. 29, 1958, the son of the late Lee Walker Jr. and Wenefred Grimm Walker.

Duane attended Lipsic High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a former construction worker and attended the Church of the Harvest. He loved his grandchildren and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Walker.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane Allen Walker Jr. and Rebecca Walker of Coal Grove and James Matthew Walker and Gina Walker of Hanging Rock; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Debbie Walker of Deshler; a half brother, Shane Walker of Scioto County; two sisters, Virginia Wulff of Custar and Patty Bluze of Florida; former wife, Judy Walker of South Point and his girlfriend, Rose Norman of South Point; two grandchildren, Alex Walker of Ironton and Karli Walker of Coal Grove.
