Ethel F. Cremeens, 81, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at a local health care center. The Lawrence County native was born July 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Leslie and Lucretia Davis Cron. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cremeens, who passed away April 13, 2000.

Mrs. Cremeens was a graduate of Waterloo High School, was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chauncey and Les; and a sister, Helen.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Les and Cathy Cremeens and Rick and Becky Cremeens, all of Kitts Hill; five grandchildren, Mike Cremeens of Ironton, Mark Cremeens of Kitts Hill, Michelle Kelly and her husband, Jim of Ironton, Sarah Bock and her husband, Ryan of Kitts Hill, and Miranda Cremeens of Kitts Hill; and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m Thursday at Sugar Creek Cemetery with Pastor Ryan McKee officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
