SOUTH WEBSTER — Jessie Irene Kelly, 89, of South Webster, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at her residence with her family around her. The Lawrence County native was born July 2,1921, the daughter of the late John Thomas Miller and Ida Mae Martin Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Kelly, whom she married Dec. 9, 1940.
Mrs. Kelly was a homemaker and spent most of her life in Lawrence County. She was a member of the Blackfork Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law: George T. and Delores Kelly of Tenn., Jerry E. and Judy Kelly of South Webster, James H. and Brenda Kelly of Ironton, and Jack A. Kelly of Pedro; two daughters, Rebecca Kelly and Loretta Kelly, with whom she lived; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her because she was a very special lady.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Warneke Cemetery with Pastor John Kelly officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
