Leland Leon Lemley

SOUTH POINT — Leland Leon Lemley, 81, of South Point, passed away early Tuesday morning, Dec. 28, 2010.
He was born May 10,1929, in Scottown, the son of Maurice and Darlene (Burnett) Lemley. He and his wife Lois Ann (Brubaker) celebrated their 61st anniversary on June 18 of this year. Mr. Lemley was a manager of Operating Services, before he retired, with M.W. Kellogg, an engineering and construction company. He was a graduate of Madison Mills High School and attended Wilmington College and Tulane University. He was a member of the South Point F&AM Masonic Lodge, an AARP member and volunteer and attended the South Point Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Craig, Bob, John and Margaret; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Holschuh, and his sister, Thelma Coash. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Lou Ashworth officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point.
There will be visitation Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial donations are requested to be made to the South Point branch of Briggs Lawrence County Library.
