When the St. Joseph Female Flyers need to be strong, they just turn to their strength inside.
Katie Hacker was a force inside as she scored 20 points to lead the Female Flyers to a 61-31 rout of Harvest Christian Thursday.
“Katie did a good job inside. She was strong and aggressive,” said Flyers’ coach Nick Miller. “All our girls did a nice job. We started a little slow but once they got rolling they played well.”
Sarah Neal and Becca Patrick scored 12 points each for the Female Flyers (3-1).
Morah Bruch had 21 points to lead Harvest Christian.
Hacker had five points in the first quarter as St. Joseph took a 15-7 lead.
Hacker and Neal scored six points each in the second quarter as the lead grew to 32-19 at the break.
It was Hacker again with six points in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 48-25.
Patrick scored five points in the fourth quarter as the Flyers outscored Harvest Christian 13-6.
