BCPL hosting Jan. 19 tea tasting
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. — Boyd County Public Library is celebrating National Hot Tea Month by letting folks taste a variety of teas at the Catlettsburg Branch on Wednesday, Jan. 19.
The tea tasting event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the branch, 2704 Louisa St. Branch Manager Lisa Epling said there will be a variety of teas from which to choose. “If you’ve only tried black tea, you will be surprised at the many colors and flavors from around the world.”
A bit of tea trivia:

• Herbal teas are generally caffeine-free infusions of herbs, spices and sometimes flowers.
• For thousands of years, medicinal herb teas were commonly prescribed by doctors to combat a wide variety of ailments.
