Virginia Hill Cornette

CHARLESTON, S.C.– Virginia Hill Cornette of Charleston, S.C., formerly of South Point, passed away on Friday Jan. 14, 2011. She was born Dec. 22, 1927, the daughter of the late Archie and Cora Lewis Smith. She graduated from Hanging Rock High School and was a member of the South Point Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Hill; her brother Bill Smith; and her sisters Mary Frances Smith, Clara Smith and Margaret. She is survived by her son Alan Hill and his wife Teresa; her daughter Donna Hill Merry and her husband Gary Lopez; three sisters, Freda Fliehman, Ruth Sharp and Barbara Smith; and her granddaughter, Megan Hill.
