OMAHA, Neb.– William “Bill” Rodgers, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Ironton, died Jan. 11, 2011. Before moving to Omaha in 1965, Bill served in the Air Force with three brothers in 1958 -1961. Bill is survived by wife, Mabel (Beckett); two children Cheryl and Bill Rodgers of Omaha, Neb.; a sister Sandy Sharp in West Virginia; a brother, Les of Omaha; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Bill was a security director for many years and later was a security guard. He enjoyed umpiring baseball Little League. Bill died at his residence after several months’ illness with cancer. Bill’s cremation service was on Jan. 13, 2011.
