Lady Pointers cruise past River Valley

SOUTH POINT — For the South Point Lady Pointers it’s all about the pressure.
The Lady Pointers used their fullcourt pressure game to roll past the River Valley Lady Raiders 77-42 Saturday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
“Our pressure really bothered them. We were able to makes some shots and get in our press and turn them over,” said Lady Pointers’ coach Dave Adams.
“Jalynn (Bradburn) was a big key. She had a nice game. She shot the ball really well.”
Bradburn led all scorers with 23 points as the Lady Pointers improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the OVC.
Kayla Fletcher and Allison Mitchell each scored 14 points and Kimmie Bennett had 13 for South Point.
Brooke Marcum scored 12 points and Alli Neville 10 for River Valley.
South Point led 19-10 after the first quarter and opened up a 37-19 lead at the half.
The lead was 57-34 after three quarters and the Lady Pointers cruised the rest of the way as they outscored River Valley 20-8 in the fourth quarter.
