CHILLICOTHE — The Ohio Department of Transportation will host a public meeting next week to review the upcoming Ironton-Russell Bridge replacement project and the extension of State Route 93 to the state highway system in downtown Ironton, Ohio.

The project to replace the Ironton-Russell Bridge, which is scheduled to go out for bids in October of this year, calls for the relocation of the existing structure to a new alignment between Ironton and Russell, Ky.

The new bridge will be situated between Second Street in downtown Ironton and U.S. Route 23 near its intersection with Kentucky 244 (Bellefonte Street) in Russell.
