PEDRO — Susan “Susie” Bailey, 54, of Pedro, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Ironton native was born Oct. 17, 1956, the daughter of Anna Bell Salyers Jenkins of Ironton and the late Elmer Jenkins. She is also survived by her husband, Rickey Lee Bailey, whom she married Sept. 7, 1973.

Mrs. Bailey attended Rock Hill High School and was a part-time janitor for the Rock Hill School District. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Jenkins; a sister-in-law, Kay Holston; and a nephew, Arthur Bailey III.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Anna May Bailey and Bill Hackworth of Ironton; a son, Rickey Lee Bailey, Jr. of Pedro; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Rhonda Jenkins of Coal Grove, James and Cathy Jenkins of McConnelsville and Bill and Susie Jenkins of Ironton; two sisters, Rose Mary Shope and Wayne Bruce of Pedro and Patricia Johnson and Bud Runyon of Coal Grove; grandchildren, Cheyenne Hackworth, Cody Hackworth and Tiffany Hackworth, all of Ironton, Rickey Lee Bailey III of Pedro, Billy and Cindy Hackworth, Tabitha and Michael Collier all of Greenup; great-grandchildren, Brayzen Hackworth of Ironton and Nariah Collier of Greenup; sister-in-law, Carolyn Miller of Ironton; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Bill Holston of Ironton, Arthur and Pam Bailey of Marion and Charles Bailey of Columbus; special nieces and nephews; and special great nieces and nephews.
