Bethany’s Buddies Spring Bazaar
Did you know that at any given moment, almost 100,000 children and adults are awaiting an organ transplant?
And that an average 18 people die every day due to the lack of available organs? The numbers are overwhelming, but there is a way you can help.
16 year-old Bethany Bibb of Ironton was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a very young age and is now in need of a life-saving double lung transplant. With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such procedure. The Bibb family’s estimated out-of-pocket expenses are $35,000.
Bethany’s Buddies, a team of Bethany’s family and friends, are sponsoring a Spring Bazaar and are seeking vendors. Vendors will be asked to donate a negotiated percentage of their proceeds to assist with Bethany’s transplant related cost. This event will be held at the Ironton City Center in April, and will showcase many of the areas rich traditions. All of the proceeds donated will provide Bethany with another ray of hope.
