Evelyn Felty, 76, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Greenup, Ky. native was born Jan. 13, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry and Dora Keaton Corbin.

Ms. Felty attended school in Forestdale and was a former employee of the Riverview Nursing Home in Russell, Ky. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Community Tabernacle Church. She was also a senior companion for the C.O.A.D. Program serving Lawrence County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wannetta Vanhorn; three brothers, Clancy Corbin, Edward Corbin and Houston Corbin; three sisters, Marjorie Napier, Marlene Corbin, and Garnett Corbin; and a grandchild, Aaron Scott Collins.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Anderson Johnson of Morehead, Ky. and Daphne Bryan of Ironton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Loretta Bryan of Wurtland, Ky. and Clarence Felty of Ironton; a sister, Betty D. Smith of Flatwoods, Ky.; two brothers, Donald L. Corbin of Grayson, Ky. and Elmer M. Corbin of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Dave McGranahan and Louis Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
