Joanna Yates, 71, of Ironton, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Olive Collins Justice. She was a homemaker. She is survived by four sons, Johnny (Lu) Justice, Charles Edward (Tessa) Blankenship, Jr., Carl (Phyllis) Blankenship and Billy Blankenship; one daughter, Cheryl (Jessie) Berry; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Jessie Robert Justice and Carl Justice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Blankenship and Ronnie Yates; three brothers, Bill Justice, Donnie Justice and Lewis Justice and two sisters, Betty Russell and June McKnight.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hanging Rock Cemetery with Richard Morrison officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.
