Ironton residents should appreciate town

I wanted to write a letter to The Tribune to let your readers know about how some people that I know feel about your town.

My name is Tom Madden and my uncle David passed away this past Tuesday. I was not able to attend the service Thursday but my heart will be there just the same.

Both my parents were born and raised in Ironton and I cannot begin to tell you how many precious memories there are of my self and siblings spending countless summers and vacations with my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents in your wonderful town.

From Buckhorn to Spruce traveling along the sidewalks stopping at the various homes where my relatives and parents were raised will be etched in my mind for ever.

Places like Ironton need to be appreciated because there are so few places left in this country where people can trace their roots back too.

Since my parents left after being married at St. Lawrence, we have lived all over the United States and I know no matter where I live I will always feel that Ironton was my home too.

Please let your readers know you have a very special place to live.
