Kelley’s Bridge, the popular local Celtic music group, will perform next week at two Briggs Lawrence County Public Library locations to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day. Everyone’s invited to the group’s performance at the South Point library at 6 p.m. Monday or the Brown Bag Lunch concert at the Chesapeake library at noon Tuesday.

Your whole life is on your computer but you sometimes have trouble finding a picture or a document. Briggs Library is offering the workshop “Organizing Your Computer Files,” at two locations this month. Learn how to create and manage your computer files at 11 a.m. Monday at the South Point library or at 6 p.m. Monday, March 21 at the Ironton. A free booklet will be provided for everyone who participates. Space is limited. Please register at the South Point or Ironton libraries.

Anyone who admires other people’s scrapbooks, but doesn’t know how to make their own is invited to the “Scrapbook 101” workshop at the Ironton library Friday at 2 p.m. Learn how to set up a page. Learn how layering and materials can make a page shine. Remember to bring a few photos, so you make your own scrapbook page. Supplies are limited, so please register in advance at the library or by calling (740) 532-1124.

Everyone’s invited to join a Briggs Library book discussion group. Four groups meet on two days this week. On Wednesday, the Chesapeake library group will talk about “The Ladies of Covington Send Their Love by Joan Medlicott at 2 p.m. and the Ironton library afternoon groups will discuss “Comfort Food” by Kate Jacobs 2:30 p.m. On Thursday, the Sybene Senior Center group will talk about “The Storekeeper’s Daughter” by Wanda Brunstetter at 12:35 p.m. and the Proctorville library group will discuss “Secrets of Eden” by Chris Bohjalian at 2 p.m.

Volunteers for AARP free tax preparation assistance program will be at the Chesapeake Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and at the Southern Branch Library in South Point from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Assistance is provided on a first come-first served basis.

Teens are invited to “All things Anime” at two Briggs library locations this week. Watch Anime films, eat Japanese food, play the Asian game, “Go,” and more. Bring a friend and your choice of beverages to go with the food to the Chesapeake library at 3:30 p.m. Monday or the Symmes Valley library at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The Briggs Lawrence County Public Library children’s department offers free programs for young children featuring books, crafts, songs, games and fun. The children’s schedule is:
