SOUTH POINT­ — Denver Clinton Maynard, 70, of South Point, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jack Marcum.

Denver was born Oct. 27, 1940, in Wayne County, a son of the late Raymond and Victoria Maynard.  Denver was retired from Connor’s Steel and was a member of the Steel Workers Local #37.  He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.  Survivors include two sons, Clint Vannon Maynard of St. Albans, W.Va.; Cliff Ray Maynard of Pittsburgh, Penn.; a sister, Juanita Brumfield of Glendale, Ariz.; and a grandchild, Ashley Victoria Maynard.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, W.Va.
