Volunteer work at cemetery is very much appreciated

I am writing in regard to the article about the Newton Cemetery.

I would like to thank Nick Miller and Roy Carpenter for their work to keep it mowed and free of trash. For a seemingly lonely place, many of the tombstones have been photographed and recorded on Findagrave.com.

This cemetery is important to Ironton’s history and important to The Tribune’s history, as well. Ironically, Mary Mayne, the tombstone you referenced is the great, great grandmother to the late Donald Mayne, editor of The Tribune.
