GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Mandy Boykin, an exercise science major/biology major from Ironton, was one of three seniors to receive the coveted Dean’s Honor Award from Provost Rosemary Allen April 26 at Georgetown College.

Her mother, Jami Boykin, posed with them after the Academic Awards Program in John L. Hill Chapel. Mandy Boykin will graduate May 14 and will attend the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacology this fall.

Mandy is the first transfer student Dr. Allen has honored with a Dean’s Award. The former Ohio state high school champion in the 100-meter dash ran track for the University of Cincinnati her first two years. She wanted to play basketball and picked Georgetown College where she became the Tigers’ co-captain.
