Civic involvement makes difference for years to come

In preparation for the upcoming summer season, volunteers young and old alike, were on hand Saturday, May 7 to help beautify Ironton’s downtown community.
Every volunteer diligently planted flowers, mulched flower beds, collected trash and trimmed trees to give Ironton a crisp spring cleaning.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank every volunteer who gave of his or her time. It’s because of your help we were able to accomplish such a large task.
Within the next few weeks, local residents will begin seeing the full fruits of the labor when all the flowers begin to bloom and Ironton becomes a colorful canvas.
Moving Ironton forward takes the involvement of everyone. When local government, civic clubs and organizations, merchants and residents work together, we can make a difference in the lives of this generation and generations to come.
