PINE GROVE — The Ladies Nine-Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club have had their troubles with Mother Nature like everyone else.
The group has only been able to meet on two occasions during the months of April and May because of rain.
Cecilia Woods began the season as hostess with 16 active members attending the first outing. Barb Holmes was welcomed as a guest for the day.
Woods served breakfast refreshments prior to play and announced the golf pairings for the day.
Joyce Lewis returned to the clubhouse with two wins during the morning events and then performed hostess duties for the following gold session.
During this time Holmes became a new member and celebrated her initiation by joining Jami Dyer as event winners.
Dyer will be the next hostess for the regular Tuesday outing. A 9:30 a.m. business meeting will be held in the clubhouse followed by golfing at 10.
New members are always welcome.
