Alan Pancake

KITTS HILL — Alan Ray Pancake, 53, of Kitts Hill, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Jan. 17, 1958, the son of the late Jack and Lenore Catherine Schmidt Pancake.
Alan was a 1977 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a mechanic for Harmon Motors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother-in-law, Mike Rister; and a nephew, Brian Jenkins.
He is survived by his former wife, Kasey Marshall Pancake of Ironton; two sons, Joshua Alan Pancake and Jackson Jacob Pancake, both of Ironton; four sisters, Jacalyn Rister of South Webster, Teresa Miller of Ironton, Billie Jean Farnsworth of Beckley, W.Va. and Sandy Maguire of West Portsmouth; and three brothers, Rick Pancake of New Albany, Ind., Michael Pancake of Ironton and Terry Pancake of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, with minister Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
