Juanita “Johnnie” Dalton Bryant, 80, of Ironton, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born July 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Edmond and Helen Hall Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Dalton, who died Jan. 7, 1989. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth “Junior” Bryant, whom she married Oct. 11, 1998.
Johnnie attended Pedro Schools and was a homemaker.
She was a Christian and a member of the Cannons Creek EUB Church. In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Hankins and Eloise McFann.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Donna Kelley and her husband, Charles of Ironton; two sons: Jeff Dalton and his wife, Angie of Ironton, Russ Dalton and his fiancée, Jennifer Jacobs of West Portsmouth; a stepdaughter, Janice Bryant and her husband, Paul Parson of Ironton; two stepsons, Kenny Bryant and his wife, Becky of Ironton and John Bryant and his wife, Mary of Kitts Hill; two sisters, Inez Malone of Decatur and Carolyn Bradshaw of Tampa, Fla.; five brothers, Eddie and Nell Campbell of Slabfork, Charles and Joyce Campbell of Pedro, Donald and Paula Campbell of Pedro, Ronnie and Rose Campbell of Northern Ohio and Mike Campbell of Northern Ohio;
sister-in-law, Phyllis and George Kelley of Ironton; sister-in-law, Clasice Carroll of Dayton; brother-in-law, Ray Bryant of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six stepgran children; several step great grandchildren
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Slabfork Cemetery with Pastor Dale Knipp officiating. Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
