Church groups are here to pray for community

I am a member of the Church of the King in Ironton at 801 S. Fifth St. In June of last year, our hearts were really hurting for the lost souls.
We all have been touched by someone that needed deliverance from alcohol or drugs. Whether it was family, friends or someone who knew someone.
So we started a prayer night on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. for our town and Tri-State. We put ads in the paper inviting anyone that wanted to come just to pray for their family or friends or maybe others’ needs.
The invitation is still open. There are so many people that are hurting and don’t know where to go or maybe they are just afraid to take that first step. We are here to help pray for you and with you.
Little did we know that there were other people at different churches feeling the same as we do. God has brought many people together to form a Joshua Walk coming today to our area.
Just as Joshua in the Bible was told by God to march around the city of Jericho seven times, so will the people here.
If you see us on the streets, we will be praying for you or a loved one or a friend who has a need, because God loves you and us no matter what. He gave his only son to die for us on that cross so we could be set free.
You can go on the website at www.joshuawalk.com to find out more about this.
