SCOTTOWN — Judson Elroy Myers, 71 of Scottown, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his residence.
The Scottown native was born April, 27, 1940 the son of the late Roy and Florence Rucker Myers. He is survived by his wife Melody Tredway Myers, whom he married March 8, 1985.
Mr. Myers attended Waterloo Schools, and was a former foreman and heavy equipment operator for Collins Mining and Mason Township. He was also the foreman over building Timber Ridge Lake. Mr. Myers loved music, farming, and playing cards and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Judson Howard Myers; a sister, Garnet Louis Myers; a half-sister, Tina Akers; two sisters-in-law, Christine Myers and Debbie Myers and his father-in-law, George Tredway.
In additon to his wife, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Travis and Bryana Myers of Scottown, Dr. James and Michelle Caldwell of Jefferson City, Mo., and Dustin Myers of Chesapeake; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Amber and Josh Tredway Dunaway of Proctorville, Sherri and Allen Dennison of Proctorville, Christy Pauley of Proctorville, and Shelia and Johnny Johnson of Willowwood; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Lusher Myers of Lodi, Richard Myers of Scottown, and Sam and Kathryn Myers of Scottown; a half-brother and his wife, Rick and Marie Akers of Hanging Rock; his grandchildren, Adam Myers, Natosha and Martika Brizendine, Destinee Pauley, Akrista Burks, Montana Runnels, and James Dale Caldwell III and two great grandchildren, Haylee Myers and Madison Myers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Fowler and Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
