Marjorie Waddell

KETTERING — Marjorie Lou Marting Waddell, 78, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Bethany Village in Centerville.

Marjorie was born Sept. 24, 1932, in Ironton to Robert Arthur Marting and Marjorie “Ruth” Marting (McClellan).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Edward Waddell (2006).

She is survived by her son, Steve and Sherrie (Brown) Waddell of Bellbrook; her daughters, Sherri Waddell of Centerville, Linda and husband Bob Metzler of Kettering, and Janet Waddell-Damm and husband Steve Damm of Centerville; eight grandchildren, David Waddell and Emma Jarman of Kettering, Jason and Whitney (Kling) Archdeacon of Oakwood, Brent Waddell of Bellbrook, Kevin Archdeacon of Centerville, Matthew Metzler of Kettering, Alex Damm of Centerville, Andrea Knuth of Centerville and Erin Damm of Centerville; three great-grandchildren, Reed Archdeacon of Oakwood, Beckett Archdeacon of Oakwood and Kate Waddell of Kettering; her brother, Robert E. and wife Patti of Gonzales, La., her sisters, Mary and husband Pete Burke of Columbus, and Romaine Marting and Mary Jo Pietre of Chesapeake and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Patti Waddell of Reedsville, Pa.

Her kindness and devotion to her loving family and friends will be forever missed.

A private memorial service will be conducted by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave Dayton OH 45420 in her memory.
