COAL GROVE — Laura Waddle, 98, of Coal Grove, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Wayne County, W.Va., native was born June 6, 1913, the daughter of the late Freland and Josie Collins.  Laura was a homemaker and member of Zoar Baptist Church.

Laura was a loving wife to the late Thomas Waddle who preceded her in death on May 9, 1980.  She was a loving mother to 12 children; four of whom have also preceded her in death, Cecil Waddle, Donna Gail Waddle, Vada Sisler and Rita Rudman.

She is survived by eight children, five sons, Tommy Waddle, Jim Waddle, Virgil Waddle, Donald (Anita) Waddle, Bob (Tammy) Waddle, and three daughters, Thelma (Sissy) Waddle, Margaret Waddle, and Flo (Jack) Evans.  Also surviving is a grandson, Bill (Tammy) Waddle, whom Laura held dear to her heart and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
