CHESAPEAKE — Ralph Edward Heffner, 66, of Chesapeake, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.

He was born Jan. 3, 1945 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Lloyd and Gale Heffner.

He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church where he served as trustee and treasurer for many years. He was retired from Inco Alloys.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Heffner; three children, Susan (Randy) Kilgore, Tommy (Judith) Heffner and Judy (Rodney) Childers; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacob and Jessica Kilgore, Courtney, Caitlin and Caleb Heffner and Brittany and Christopher Childers.

Funeral will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, State Route 243 at Getaway with Pastor Garland Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery.
