Covenant Home Health Care Service welcomes physical therapy assistants

SOUTH POINT — Covenant Home Health Care Service announced the additon of Ashley Harmon Taylor and Justin Gibson to their physical therapy team.
Taylor recently joined Covenant full time after serving in a part-time capacity for over two years and Gibson joined the team in June.
They are responsible for executing and coordinating physical therapy treatment plans and procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease, injury or surgery. They also teach patients how to use and care for wheelchairs, braces, and artificial limbs.
Taylor is a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and Shawnee State University. She brings more than four years of physical therapy experience in home health care and senior care rehabilitation.
“At Covenant Home Health, we strive for high quality of care for our patients. Our goal is to help patients restore independence in their homes and home health is the ideal setting to increase our patients’ level of functionality,” Taylor said.
She is a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Ironton and enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kendall.
Gibson is also a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and Shawnee State University.
He is a resident of South Point. Justin has more than four years of experience in home health and outpatient physical therapy working in the Ironton and Ashland and Louisa, Ky., areas.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and hunting, fishing and drag racing in his free time.
“We enjoy working in the community where we grew up and to be able to give back to the community that gave us so much,” Gibson said.
Ashley and Justin along with Bethany Horton, DPT, make up the physical therapy team that specializes in geriatric physical therapy, in-home rehabilitation for hip and knee replacements, neurological rehabilitation, stroke and brain injury, balance and coordination, acute and chronic back pain therapy, fall prevention techniques and lymphedema therapy.
