SOUTH POINT — Evelyn Maxine Arthur, 88, of South Point, died Friday, July 29, 2011, in Sunset Nursing Center, where she resided the past 25 years.

She was born Dec. 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Clate and Myoma Wallace Arthur. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Louella and Carl Fletcher; and two nephews.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
