ASHLAND, Ky. — Amanda “Mandy” Howard Mayse, 85, of Ashland passed peacefully Saturday morning, Aug. 6, 2011, from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mrs. Mayse was born March 25, 1926, in Ashland, daughter of the late Edward and Pearl Stewart Howard. Her daughter Mary Wagner also preceeded her in death. Mandy enjoyed life to its fullest. She knew our Lord as her personal savior and was a homemaker.

She leaves behind two daughters, Becky Bryan, husband Bill of Westchester and Nancy Sisler of Ironton; one son, Paul Edward Vance of Denver Colo.; son in law Ernie Wagner of Ironton; four grandchildren, Bill Bryan, Bob Bryan, Michael Wagner and Matt Sisler; three great grandchildren, Rebecca Logan Bryan, Brady Bryan and Charlie Bryan; and also a beloved best friend Violet “Bug” Lyons.

The Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg is in charge of arrangements.
