Pauline Harshbarger

Geneva Pauline Harshbarger, 78, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Sunset Nursing Center. The Sandy Hook, Ky., native was born Dec. 5, 1932, the daughter of the late Rufus and Nettie Dewall Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Willis and her second husband, Thurman L. Harshbarger Sr.

Mrs. Harshbarger attended  Pedro schools and a homemaker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Willis; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dorie Willis of Ashland, Ky.; son, T.L. Harshbarger Jr. of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela S. and David Lambert of Ironton; daughter, Paula Louise Harshbarger of Boca Raton, Fla.; son, Homer Benton Harshbarger of Texas; two stepchildren, Jackie Lee Harshbarger of Sarasota, Fla. and Carol Ann Thompson of Burlington; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Garlen Johnson, Rufus Johnson, Jr., and Samuel Johnson, all of Ironton; a sister, Juanita Sharp of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
