SOUTH POINT — Dallas Bond, 53, of South Point, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. The Ironton native was born June 13, 1958, a son of the late Carl Bond and surviving Gloria (Abner) Bond. Dallas is also survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy Runyon Bond. In addition to his mother and wife, Dallas was survived by a daughter, Lena Mae Bond of South Point; a sister, Patty (Bill) Bond Freeman of Ironton; and a brother, Ralph (Julie) Bond of Ironton. Dallas was a 1978 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He worked as a mechanic at South Point Utilities where he retired after 15 years of service. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lagrange Cemetery in Ironton.
