Auston James “A.J.” Wells, 19, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.

The Ironton native was born May 2, 1992, and is survived by his mother, Mary Adams Gilmore of Ironton, and his father, David L. Wells, and his companion, Di Isaac, also of Ironton.

Auston attended Rock Hill Schools and lived his entire life in the Lawrence County area.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers; Thomas Lewis and Jack Adams.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother; Jason Wells of Ashland, Ky.; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian “Stick” and Amber Justice of Ironton; a sister, Josie Wells of Ironton; paternal grandparents, Gene and Phyllis Wells of Bellefonte, Ky.;

maternal grandmother, Gladys Lewis of Ironton and two nephews, Brigham and Brody Justice.

Friends may call 1-4 p.m. today at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating.
